Pakistan detailed 118 Covid deaths on Tuesday, making it the highest loss of life in the country since June 29 a year ago.
The daily information provided by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) showed that 50,520 tests were carried out in the country, of which 4,318 were positive.
Pakistan's highest loss of life from the infection to date was on June 19 with 153 deaths.
The number of new patients determined brings the Covid case count nationwide to 729,920. Of these, Sindh has 269,474 cases, Punjab 252,974, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 100,275, Islamabad 66,983, Baluchistan 20,397, Azad Jammu and Kashmir 14,687 and Gilgit Baltistan 5,130.
